What would you like to change about your Education? How would you change it?

If you are a teenager (14 – 19 yrs old), we want to hear Your Point of View! Here is your chance to be part of the solution!  Would you like High School to be more valuable to you? Well, you have the influence to make the necessary changes. The Education System needs your help! We know you see the issues and have ideas to fix them SO TELL US! You have the power to make real positive change, just enter this contest and help make a difference. Click on the link below and be part of a movement that will shed light on the truth of our Education System from Your Point of View!  Remember, it only takes one small voice to make a huge difference!

Submission Guidelines:1. Fill out the contest form completely
2. Write an essay or make a video
     a. Clearly state the issue/s as you see it
     b. Briefly explain your solution/s for fixing the issue/s
     c. Explain a real life story to illustrate your perspective

Deadline: September 30, 2010
 

Winners are featured in a documentary
and awarded up to $1000

  • All submissions will be reviewed by our team and the top ideas and stories will be asked to be part of a feature length documentary.
  • Top 3 submissions will also be awarded prizes of $300 to $1000 towards their education for books, tuition, supplies, etc.
  • First place winner will earn additional money for their schools A.S.B. council.
  • If you are a fan of T2CE.org on Facebook (www.t2ce.org/facebook), winners will receive an extra bonus prize!
     

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Do you need proof of consent when interviewing someone in the video?  Yes we require proof of consent due to the fact that winning materials will be posted on the website. 
  • Can the prize be used toward studying abroad? Yes.
  • Is it OK to use humor? Yes.
  • How long do the videos/essays have to be?  Videos/essays can be any length of time necessary to clearly state your issue/s, personal experiences regarding the issue/s, and your solution/s.  The maximum file size for videos is 100MB (100000KB).
  • What is the maximum or minimum number of issues you can include in your essay or video? There is no max or min on issues. Just make sure to clearly state your issue/s, provide a personal experience and clearly state your solution/s.
  • Is it encouraged or not recommended for the school's name to be shown or said in the video/essay?  It is not recommended to include school name or affiliation in video/essay, however please be aware that you are representing your school and community. However, please include on your submission form. 
  • Can school policies be said when getting the issue across? Yes
  • Would you encourage telling an administrator if taping in the school? It is up to you.  However, permission is most likely needed by a teacher or administrator to film in any school setting.
  • Can two students submit an entry together?  Yes.  Especially if you want to create a video together.
  • Can a non-US citizen participate?  Not currently. You must be a US Citizen or legal resident and between ages of 14 and 19 years.
